Born near Philadelphia and raised in the Pittsburgh area, Patti somehow found her way to Lancaster County and Lititz. A resident since 1998, she loves the quaint historic town and living among the Amish.
Whether it be with blocks, erector sets or pencil to paper, Patti was always doing something creative growing up. Her technical mind took her to Pennsylvania State University where she studied Structural Engineering and ultimately ended up designing buildings for a living; but after 18 years her inner voice was calling her back to her artistic side.
Dabbing in different forms of art, Patti stumbled upon an article on Glass Fusion and fell in love with the concept. Traveling to Portland Oregon to study under well-acclaimed glass artist Deb Crowley, Patti found her niche in life. Able to combine her artistic and technical sides with her love for building things, Patti creates functional art. “Not everyone can afford art for the sake of art, so I create art that can be used every day.” Claiming that she won’t sell anything that she wouldn’t buy herself, each piece is unique and well-crafted.
